Sasana Eco
Born from a passion for sustainability.
Firstly, I would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri people who are the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which Sasana was founded and pay my respects to elders past, present and emerging. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
Hello … I’m Tam and welcome to the Sasana Eco page!
Sasana wants to inspire wellness with eco-friendly products that promote health in people and our planet. We would also like to set a standard for how companies can be sustainable whilst still providing high quality products with great utility.
Our ethical products are shipped through a mindful partnership with Sendle, who are certified as 100% carbon neutral delivery. They are offsetting the carbon that is emitted during transportation by supporting carbon abatement projects, like regenerating precious forest.
I have 20 years of professional retail buying & category management experience where I have learned first-hand about the impact of rampant consumerism on the environment. I remember a time when a former manager told me (with much excitement) that we had sold over 2 million pairs of socks to reach a corporate sales target and all I could think of was the impact on the environment. My heart just sank. It was then that I realised I needed to move on from fast fashion and learn more about the industry and its impact on the environment.
After completing an online Fashion & Sustainability course at the London College of Fashion, my mind was opened to see how badly the garment industry is affecting the environment. You can click this link to my blog for more information about the course. I can highly recommend it!
Another huge passion of mine is yoga, which I’ve been practising for almost 2 decades and have recently qualified as a yoga teacher! What I’m even more excited about though, is nutrition and cooking tasty, healthy meals. Watch this space for health and yoga retreats (insert happy dance).
I hope you enjoy this website and are inspired to take better care of yourself and the environment.
